St. Luke’s Church, Matfield

St. Luke’s sits on the edge of Matfield, a beautiful example of a church in the Kentish style with a steeply pitched roof. The church was built in 1876, finally enabling the people of Matfield to go to church in their own village. The church remains very much as originally built, apart from an extension built in 1965.

More details on the history and features of the church can be found here.

St. Luke’s has a really friendly congregation ready to welcome all, whether seasoned church goers, visitors, or those trying church out. The church is very active within the community of Matfield, with links to several of the community groups and societies. St. Luke’s offers both traditional services and more relaxed worship.

Everyone is welcome at St. Luke’s. You are most welcome to turn up at one of our services and join in.
